first_imgLA-Tokyo flight turns back after passenger boards with wrong ticket – with Chrissy Teigen tweeting it all a flying first for me: 4 hours into an 11 hour flight and we are turning around because we have a passenger who isn’t supposed to be on this plane. Why…why do we all gotta go back, I do not know— christine teigen (@chrissyteigen) 27 December 2017 Blog My first tweet can’t be more epic than this: just survived an 8-hour LAX-LAX flight with @chrissyteigen and @johnlegend on #ANA #NH175 pic.twitter.com/yY0vIqfcja— Raffy (@Raffywu) 27 December 2017 December 27, 20170 Commentscenter_img Frustratingly, the passengers spent a total of eight hours in the air only to return to the same airport. A flight bound for Tokyo made a U-turn back to Los Angeles four hours into the flight after an “unauthorised person” was discovered on board. On Tuesday, an All Nippon Airways flight from Tokyo to Los Angeles turned back more than four hours into the flight after the discovery of an “unauthorised person” among the 226 passengers on board.Somehow, the “rogue” passenger managed to proceed from the check-in desk to the departure gate at LAX and successfully board the wrong plane. The American model, Chrissy Teigen, who was on the flight with her husband John Legend, live-tweeted the events. All Nippon Airways issued a statement early Wednesday apologising for the inconvenience. It read: “During the flight, the cabin crew became aware that one of the passengers boarded the incorrect flight and notified the pilot. As part of the airline’s security procedure, the pilot in command decided to return to the originating airport, where the passenger was disembarked.“We take great pride providing exemplary customer service, and on this flight we failed to do so.”last_img read more
