first_imgSOCCER: Donal O’Brien Ulster Inter-Provincial side got their preparation for the All-Ireland Intermediate title underway last night at the Finn Valley Centre, Ballybofey.O’Brien’s squad played their first friendly ahead of the competition which kicks-off on Friday, 2nd October against the Munster Senior League. In what was a competitive and entertaining friendly with Derry City’s U19 side, O’Brien will be happy with his sides performance.They took the lead after just two minutes when Davitt Walsh expertly dispatched his effort with a superbly placed finish with his left foot.Derry took a while to settle – but when they did they caused problems for Ulster and deservedly through level midway through the half.In the second-half, Derry got off to a flier and took the lead just two minutes after the restart.
