Previous Article Next Article Employersare to be given EU guidelines on the maximum levels of exposure toelectro-magnetic waves staff should face.Thenew European guidelines focus on employees who work with power lines, andmobile phone and radar antennae.Theproposals have been agreed in principle by the EU Council of Ministers, andwill force companies to carry out risk assessments of the dangers to theirstaff from radio, television and mobile phone masts.Thestipulations, which should enable employers to pre-empt concerns about exposurelimits, are set out in an EU directive.Ifapproved by the European Parliament, the directive, Safety and Health at Work:Exposure of Workers to Electromagnetic Fields, will become law next year.last_img read more
